Breitling Superocean Heritage Limited Edition - For Breitling's 125th Anniversary

To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Breitling, following the Breitling Navitimer's 125th Anniversary, the Super Ocean Heritage line is launching a limited edition in three models, 1000 pieces of each. Let us discover more about these limited edition watches.

Breitling Super Ocean Heritage Chronograph Limited Edition 125th Anniversary Watch is available in three color dials: black, silver and blue. The black one is called Black Volcano while the blue one named Gun Stratus Blue. They features bi-compax subdial array (small seconds at 9 and 30-minute at 12), black bezel and the Breitling "B" in 18k gold. The red hands bring nice contrast on each dial. But I just feel the black bezel does not match the blue dial quite well. What protects the dial is a sapphire crystal with double anti reflective Coating. Beating inside is the a Breitling Caliber 23-A Valjoux 7753 automatic mechanical movement certified by COSC rather than a normal Valjoux 7750 movement used in common Super Ocean Heritage Chronograph watches. The date is showcased in a pretty window at 6 o'clock position.

The case remains 46mm at diameter and is still water resistant to a depth of 200 meters. Two strap options are available for choosing: the sporty rubber strap with iconic port holes and the refined mesh metal bracelet. The later seems to appeal me better through the former looks not half bad.

I predict the retail price of the new Breitling Super Ocean Heritage is between 5000 to 6000 US dollars. Considering the Breitling name and the value of limited edition, the price is actually in a comfortable zone.
